Import D&D character variables and actions from Sheety Vault. In Sheety Vault open your sheet → … → Sheet API and paste that URL here. Use the sync button to link or refresh. After linking, use Generate actions to create Ability rolls, Saving throws and Spells groups.
The result popup will show the dice faces instead of the values. (Useful when the relevant part of a result is an image instead of a number).
Basically, this extension allows you to create groups of icons called actions. Each action has name, description and an associated dice roll. When you click the action, you roll it and share the result with everyone.
Additionally, there is a log of your latests rolls and also, you can declare an action as a “passive”. You can toggle whether this passive is active or not.
While active, the associated dice roll will be added to any roll an action makes as long as that action is “subscribed” to that passive(i.e. Barbarian’s rahe in dnd). Seems more complicated than it really is, just keep reading if you think this could be useful.
From left to right and from top to bottom you got this buttons/stuff:
You can notice if you are in edit mode by the following changes:
To start, you can click that "+" square to add a new group. Baptize it with a fitting name and grant him a URL of an image or a gif. For example this one https://i1.sndcdn.com/artworks-x8zI2HVC2pnkK7F5-4xKLyA-t1080x1080.jpg
Alternatively, you can click the icons button to select one of the default icons, or an icon you have already used.
If the image cannot be found, a standar not found image will be used. In the future maybe ill offer some options directly, but right now it is what it is.
Group created. As you can see, it is now in the center of the screen, you can now click it to edit it or drag and drop the groups to reorganize them. If you decide to click it, you have the Edit Group window. You can:
When creating an action you need name, description, url for the icon and a dice roll. The complex one, dice roll, I leave here some examples of accepted dice rolls to give you an idea of the syntax:
1d20 1d20+3 1d8 7d8 1d20 -1d4 1d6 + 1d8 MAX(1d20,1d20) +4 MIN(1d20,1d20) -2 MAX(4d20) Or just plain numbers, like 1324
For Daggerheart or other systems where each dice must be differenciated, while creating a roll, using "!" like this: !1d20! makes that result red and ?1d20? makes it blue. You can apply it too to plain numbers. If you need more colours, let me know.
Additionally, you can subscribe this action to other actions who belong to a group marked as passives. The order to use a passive would be this:
While on edit mode, if you click the variables button, you open a window that allows you to create a variable. Set a name, a dice roll or fixed value and thats it.
Now whenever you set a dice roll for an action, you can type the name of a variable, or select it from the list opened via the button next to the input, and the value of the variable will be used in the dice roll.
This can be used to update your actions from just one place, like if you have a bunch of actions that depend of your strength, make a variable and whenever that changes, all dice rolls will do along with it.
In the variables window, there is also an imported variablesbutton that leads to another list of variables. This variables are differenciated by "*", and they autoupdate from a character sheet from other website.
At the moment, only Nivel20.com is supported. The way it works is just stick the link to your character sheet, click update and thats it. The variables created this way will autoupdate everytime you open owlbear rodeo or when you hit update. This way your actions will keep up to date with your character level.
While in roll mode, if you click one of your groups, it will show their actions. You can maintain the mouse above a group or action to display their name, description and dice roll. If you click an action , you make their roll. If the action belongs to a group marked as passives, you activate that passive.
Your groups and actions are stored in localstorage. If you want to secure them or share them, etc, while in edit mode you can use the import and export buttons. The export button shows a text field with a json representing your actions. In the import window, you can paste a json and choose between add those actions to the existing ones, or replace the existing ones.
This setting is for draw steel rolls rules, or if you want to display a word with X result of a roll. Just check the mode in settings and input associated words for a range of rolls results, for example:
1-11;Tier 1;12-16;Tier 2;17-100;Tier 3;
This associates "Tier 1" to results between 1 and 11, "Tier 2" to 12-16, etc.
